Ed Blasland
Ed Blasland, Vice Principal
Mr. Blasland's professional career began as a Marketing Communications Specialist for a national consulting engineering firm headquartered in Syracuse, NY. In 1990 he entered the field of education as a Business Education teacher and Reading Specialist.

Mr. Blasland's career has been focused in the Career and Technical Education area; he has been an Adjunct Instructor at Syracuse University, Onondaga Community College and Bryant & Stratton College as well as being a College/Career Advisor. Mr. Blasland has been involved with various student organizations, and a basketball coach at both the middle and high school levels.

Mr. Blasland is excited to be back at Henninger for the 2015-16 school year. He gets great satisfaction in mentoring and coaching teachers in effective classroom practices. He looks forward to creating those relationships that help develop best practices in the classroom and meet students' needs.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Le Moyne College where he later received his Teaching Certification; he earned his Master's degree in Reading from SUNY Cortland and his CAS in Educational Leadership at Syracuse University. Mr. Blasland is married and has two children, Benjamin (20) and Rachel (17). He spends much of his time with his family enjoying boating and hiking.

Sherri Finch
Sherri Finch, Vice Principal
Mrs. Finch began her educational career after having served in the United States Navy for 6 years. She graduated from Onondaga Community College with an Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene. She then attended LeMoyne College and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biology, a Master's in Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Finch began teaching in the Syracuse City School District in 1999 at Nottingham High School where she taught Advanced Placement and Regents Chemistry. In 2006, she began her administrative tenure at Fowler High School and has continued serving the District as a Vice Principal at Delaware, Porter and Bellevue schools. Ms. Finch is excited to return to high school and is looking forward to making a positive impact with students, staff and the Henninger community.

Jeffrey Bellamy
Jeffrey Bellamy, Dean of Students
Mr. Bellamy received his undergraduate in Educational Pyschology from Syracuse Univervity. He later attended Long Island University where he was certified as a Paralegal. He is presently working on his Master's in Administration/Education from the School of Education at S.U. and will complete it by the end of the year.

Mr. Bellamy's teaching and work experience started at the Center for Community Alternatives in the early 90's. He then became the Executive Director for Youth Advocate Programs in Ithaca, NY. He then became the Executive Director of Youth Action Programs and Homes in New York City. Mr. Bellamy came to the Syracuse City School District in 2014 as the Behavior Intervention Specialist at Henninger. In 2015 he was asked to fill the position as Dean of Students at Henninger. He enjoyys working with students, their families and the Henninger staff.

Mr. Bellamy enjoys running, many athletic activities and music. He is happily married with teenage children. He loves to attend his childrens' soccer and LAX games as well as traveling.

His favorite quote is, "He who fails to plan is planning to fail," by Winston Churchill.
